Owing to emergency road defect investigations taking place in Gervis Place, Bournemouth Square, many of our services will be diverted to come and go from different bus stops. This is going on longer than we had hoped, so please use the information below, so you know where to catch your bus.
Please note the different dates and stands below as these will change daily.
It is important to note that these dates are pending good weather and minimal work issues. If there is any delay, this could push back progress.
Here is a handy summary of what bus stop to use:
Gary Powell, Head of Traffic Management for Bournemouth Borough Council, said: “Unfortunately it has been discovered there are suspect voids under the road which we need to investigate. We apologise for any inconvenience the partial closure will cause, which is necessary to enable us to fully survey, explore and understand the extent of the problem. The road will not re-open until appropriate repairs have been completed. This is likely to be done after the festive period.”
Richard Wade, Morebus operations manager, said: “The safety of our passengers and other road users is our number one priority, and we appreciate the work Bournemouth Borough Council is doing to further investigate the suspected defects."
We apologise for any inconvenience during these times.
